Educated in the country by his parents, 25-year-old Matthew Hutchinson is now the National President of the Australian Medical Students Association. Matthew has created a benevolent fund to help needy individuals and organised an eight-week education forum for 1600 students. In 2003 and 2004 Matthew visited India and Papua New Guinea to deliver medical aid. This year Matthew has spoken in over 100 schools in four different states, where his message encourages young people to dream without limitation and realise their true potential. This year he also founded the Stepping Stones Foundation, a youth-driven not-for-profit charity that links children in schools, especially Aboriginal and country communities, with positive young adults to act as long term mentors and friends. Matthew is an outstanding ambassador for the youth of Australia and an inspiration for all Australians.
