In April 2003 Bill Bristow launched a charity service called Angel Flight. The charity coordinates non-emergency medical flights and the travel to and from medical facilities anywhere in Australia for financially and medically needy people. Angel Flight services are entirely free to patients and carers. Angel Flight pilots donate their time, flying skills and most expenses for each flight. Since its establishment the number of volunteer pilots has increased from 88 to more than 850 nationwide. After just 19 months in operation, Angel Flight will soon conduct its 450th mission. Bill's vision has assisted many, from babies to the elderly and the service has impacted the lives of thousands of Australians. In coordinating Angel Flight, Bill is building and contributing an outstanding service to the Australian community. He is truly an outstanding and inspirational Australian.
